Welcome to Mission Bay Youth Baseball!
Mission Bay Youth Baseball (MBYB) is a non-profit organization focused on the personal growth & development of children through the great game of baseball. We are a member of the SW Region of PONY Baseball, serving local communities such as Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Clairemont, Bay Park, and Bird Rock, but players are welcome from anywhere in San Diego, California.
Divisions are as follows: (Player’s age as of
April 30)
- Shetland 6U (ages 5 and 6, four-year olds may play with parent involvement. Shetland has both a "Majors" machine pitch and "Minors" tee ball level - learn more about Divisions)
- Pinto 8U (ages 7 and 8)
- Mustang 10U (ages 9 and 10)
- Bronco 12U (ages 11 and 12)
- Pony 14U (ages 13 and 14)

Spring Season:
- November-early January: Registration for Spring Season
- Mid/Late January: Assessments to create even teams.
- February: Practices start after teams have been formed
- Late February/early March: Games begin
- May: Season ends typically through early/mid-May.
During the Spring season, Shetland players can expect to have one
practice and one game per week. Other divisions typically have one
practice during the week, one game during the week, and one game on weekends, usually Saturdays.
Fall Season:
- Summer: Fall Registration is typically open
- September: Practices begin, all divisions typically have one practice and Late September: Games begin, one game a week, usually Sundays.
- Season ends early November.
